Closing of Oakville POA Court Service Office

Halton Provincial Offences Act Courtroom

The Ontario Court of Justice – Provincial Offences Act (POA) Court Service Office currently located at 1225 Trafalgar Rd., Oakville, will be closing effective July 1, 2011.

The decision to discontinue the Oakville POA service office was made by Halton Court Services’ Joint Management Board as part of its growth management plan.

While the closure will mean that counter services including:  paying fines, filing requests for court hearings and general inquiries will no longer be available at the Oakville location, overall service levels will continue to be maintained.

Customer service related to any provincial offence matters will still be offered to the public at the other neighbouring POA court locations in Halton, including:

Burlington Intake Court Moving To Milton

Effective July 13, 2011 Intake Court will no longer be available at the Burlington Provincial Offences Court location.  Instead, Intake Court will be available on Wednesdays at the Milton location at 100 Nipissing Road for anyone who received a ticket in either Burlington or Oakville.

Please note that Intake Court is also available on Thursdays in Milton for anyone who received a ticket in either Halton Hills or Milton.

The Justice of the Peace is available to the public on either Wednesdays or Thursdays between:

– 9:00 and 11:30 a.m., and between 2:00 and 3:30 p.m.
