Ontarians won't be required to purchase this Outdoors Card to fish during Family Fishing Week (July 2-10/11)

For Ontarians fishing without a fishing licence in Ontario Provincial waters, there will be no tickets issued between July 2-10, 2011.

Ontarians may fish licence-free in provincial waters during Family Fishing Week, but they can’t overfish.  Non-residents require licences.

Beginning on the Canada Day weekend, the Ontario has waived the requirement for a fishing licence between July 2-10, 2011 for Ontario residents (An Ontario resident is defined as a person whose primary residence is in Ontario and who has lived in Ontario for a period of at least six consecutive months during the 12 months immediately before applying for a licence).

If you fish without a licence during Family Fishing Week, you must follow the conservation licence limits set out in the 2011 Recreational Fishing Regulations Summary.

During Family Fishing Week, Ontarians won't be required to have a fishing licence to fish in Ontario Provincial waters.

 

 

 

 

Fishing Licence Options for Ontario Residents

 

One-year Ontario resident licence fees are in effect from January 1, 2011, until December 31, 2011. Three-year fees are subject to change after August 31, 2011. For the location of the licence issuer nearest you, call your local Ministry of Natural Resources office.
