Brampton has Highest Collision Rate Out of All Ontario Communities Surveyed.

Update:

A study conducted by Allstate Insurance, referred to as the 2010 Ontario Safe Driving Study – 2007-2010 Number of Collision Claims per 100 cars, concluded that driving in the following communities could be a dangerous proposition:

1. Brampton – 6.1 collision claims per 100 cars
2. Ajax – 6.0 collision claims per 100 cars
3. Maple – 6.0 collision claims per 100 cars
4. Thornhill – 5.9 collision claims per 100 cars
5. Toronto – 5.6 collision claims per 100 cars
6. Bolton – 5.6 collision claims per 100 cars
7. Mississauga – 5.6 collision claims per 100 cars
8. Pickering – 5.6 collision claims per 100 cars
9. Markham – 5.6 collision claims per 100 cars
10. Barrie – 5.6 collision claims per 100 cars

Out of the fifty (50) communities in Ontario looked at, Brampton collision claims at 6.1 per 100 cars, made it the one community in Ontario that motorists would like to avoid driving in.

Following Brampton, in the top ten (10) with the most dangerous communities to drive in, are the following:

  • Ajax (6.0)
  • Maple (6.0)
  • Thornhill (5.9)
  • Toronto (5.6)
  • Bolton (5.6)
  • Mississauga (5.6)
  • Pickering (5.6)
  • Markham (5.6)
  • Barrie (5.6)
